The Tunisian Football Federation announced the dismissal of national coach Jalal Kadri from coaching the Carthage Eagles after an early exit from the group stage of the African Cup of Nations.

“The duties of the national coach, assistant coaches and physical preparers of the first national team have been terminated as a result of poor performance and the exit from the first round of the African Cup of Nations and the failure to achieve the agreed contractual goals,” Ben said.

The statement added: “Assigning both coaches Anis Al-Busaidi and Montaser Al-Wuhayshi, to lead the national team until a new national coach is appointed.”

He concluded: “A committee will be formed, the composition of which will be announced as soon as possible, including a representative of the Tunisian coaches, technicians and old international players known for their competence, to propose the new national coach.”

Tunisia is bottom of Group E with two points after losing to Namibia and drawing with Mali and South Africa.
