The Embassy of Japan in Libya announced the resumption of its work in the capital Tripoli on a limited basis, starting from January 15, after the suspension of its offices since 2014.

The announcement of the resumption of the work of the Japanese embassy in Tripoli came through the words of its charge d’affaires to Libya, Masaaki Amadira.

The Japanese embassy in Libya published a statement stating that it will operate with limited size and activities at the current stage, with the announcement that visa procedures can be completed through Japan’s embassies and consulates general in Tunisia, Egypt and Turkey.

In a related context, the embassy referred to the deep bilateral relations between Japan and Libya, stressing that since the beginning of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1957, bilateral cooperation has witnessed solid development in various fields of common interest.

At the end of the statement, the embassy expressed its commitment to strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries and working to raise them to the highest levels in the future.
