South Africa reached the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations with a two-goal win over Morocco in the final of the continental competition in Ivory Coast.
The first goal came from a solo through Edence Makgoba in the 57th minute of the match, and in the 95th minute Mokwina scored a second goal from a direct free kick to lead his country to the quarter-finals.
Morocco missed several chances during the first half, with Morocco’s Naseer Mazraoui scoring for the Lions but it was ruled out for offside.
Morocco national team player Sofiane Amrabat was expelled in the 92nd minute.
With this result, South Africa will face Cape Verde in the quarter-finals of the tournament, in the match between the two teams on Saturday, February 3.
