The phenomenon of repeating the month of Ramadan twice a calendar year is a unique event that occurs once every 33 years.
Astronomers predicted that calendars in 2030 will witness this phenomenon, due to the synchronization of the Hijri and Gregorian calendars.
The Hijri and Gregorian year agree in that they consist of 12 months, but the length of the Hijri year differs from the Gregorian year due to the different number of days in the months, where the Gregorian year consists of 365 days, while the Hijri year contains 354 days.
As a result of this difference, a month of Ramadan synchronization can occur twice a calendar year every 33 years, and this is expected to occur in 2030.
According to astronomical calculations, the first day of the Ramadan month of the Hijri year 1451 is expected to be on January 5, 2030, while the first day of the Ramadan month of the Hijri year 1452 will be on December 25 of the same Gregorian year, and as a result, the number of fasting days in the Gregorian year 2030 will be approximately 36 days.
