A tripartite meeting was held, which included the President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, the Head of the Supreme Council of State, Mohamed Takala, and the head of the outgoing “National Unity Government,” Abdul Hamid Al-Dbeibeh , today, Sunday, at the headquarters of the Supreme Council of State, to discuss a number of political and economic files.

During the meeting, it was emphasized to support local efforts to make the municipal elections a success, and to increase cooperation and coordination with the High National Elections Commission to ensure that its work is completed in positive conditions, in addition to supporting international efforts made to conduct parliamentary and presidential elections in accordance with fair and agreed-upon laws, and to unify local efforts to end the transitional stages, according to what Transmitted by the Media Office of the President of the Presidential Council.

The attendees called for the need to work on carrying out the necessary national economic reforms to improve the conditions of citizens, and for the government to continue its commitments and provide the necessary allocations to it according to the approved timetables, and to support the efforts of the Ministry of Local Government in transferring competencies to municipalities to eliminate centralization, and to provide the necessary support and activate local development projects, and that Municipalities are responsible for implementing them according to approved plans.

The attendees agreed on the necessity of upholding national sovereignty in managing resources through a higher financial committee to regulate government spending and make the necessary amendments to ensure the performance of its tasks, directing it to increase disclosure and transparency of all government expenditures, adhering to court rulings issued without selection regarding the abolition of the fee imposed on foreign exchange sales, and focusing on Radical treatment of monetary policy, including the liquidity crisis, and work to address it to alleviate the suffering of citizens.
