A member of the Russian State Duma for the city of Sevastopol Dmitry Belik assured that foreign armies in Ukraine will be treated as mercenaries.
“All soldiers of foreign armies, including the French, who enter Ukraine will receive mercenary status, which means they will be illegal for the Russian military,” Belik said.
“There are many French statements, but it is not known what will really happen, how many French people will arrive in Ukraine and whether they will arrive at all will remain a mystery this year.”
French President Emmanuel Macron stated on February 26 that during a meeting in Paris with the participation of representatives of some 20 Western countries, the topic of the possible dispatch of troops to Ukraine was discussed.
