The Department for Combating Illegal Migration (DCIM) in Benghazi, Libya, said that 54 migrants have been deported from the Gandoura shelter and deportation center to the agency’s presidency in Tripoli in preparation for their departure to their country.
The branch added, in a statement on its Facebook page, that the migrants hold the nationalities of Nigeria, Niger, Eritrea, Algeria, Yemen, Tunisia, Ghana, Mali, Ethiopia, Syria, Somalia, Kenya, Ivory Coast and Morocco. Among the deported migrants are infected with infectious diseases such as hepatitis C and were caught during daily campaigns, the statement said.
