The Israeli military carried out a strike targeting a car in the Naqoura area, a site considered important to the United Nations peacekeeping force (UNIFIL) in southern Lebanon.
According to the sources, the strike reportedly resulted in the assassination of three Hezbollah operatives, including a senior technical commander, after destroying the car they were travelling in.
According to reports, the body of one of the officers was completely burned to a nearby hospital as a result of the incident, along with the bodies of two others who were accompanying him.
Lebanese security sources reported that the strike was carried out by a drone, noting that among the dead was “a weapons technician, according to Reuters”.
Hizbullah officially announced the death of a “technical commander specializing in military operations” in Naqoura.
