Yesterday, Monday, the General Authority for Search and Identification of Missing Persons announced the discovery of a new mass grave in the Campo neighborhood in Giza Bahariya in the Libyan city of Sirte.

The authority stated on its official Facebook page that the specialized teams were able to extract 24 unidentified bodies from the site.

In a related context, the Authority reported that its teams also recovered 17 bodies from under the rubble of demolished buildings inside the Campo neighborhood, and DNA samples were taken from 59 unidentified bodies, after they were examined by the Authority’s Forensic Medicine Department.

The authority indicated that after completing all legal and legal procedures, the recovered bodies were buried in the Aburweila cemetery in the city of Sirte.
