The head of the Republican Coalition Party, Ezz El-Din Aqeel, accused the United States of controlling the UN mission in Libya, explaining that the movements of Washington and the European Union contributed to the existence of two Libyan governments.

Aqeel explained that these moves led to the Libyan government headed by Osama Hammad being stripped of its legitimacy and equality between it and the outgoing national unity government headed by Abdul Hamid Al-Dbeibeh.

Aqeel pointed out that international movements do not recognize the existence of a de facto authority, which weakens the ability of the Libyan parties to resist illegal immigration and control the borders and threatens the stability of the entire region.

Aqeel stressed that the first step to restoring the sovereignty and prestige of the Libyan state lies in unifying the military institution under one leadership to confront the crimes and suspicious projects planned by foreign powers.

Aqeel warned of the dangers facing Libya in light of the international division over the current situation, pointing to the continuation of the resettlement of immigrants, which has led to their numbers reaching about 3 million, which may cause future crises resulting from the presence of many births without official documents.

Aqil concluded his statements by emphasizing that all steps that must be taken regarding Libya are decided by foreign powers, which pushes the country towards more challenges and risks in the future.
