The fourth runner-up for Miss Lebanon 2024, Sibylle Bou Chaaya, has confronted the bullying campaign she was subjected to following her appearance at the Miss Lebanon pageant.

The pageant, which was held last month under the patronage of the Lebanese Ministry of Tourism and organized by the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation International, witnessed bullying over Bou Chaaya’s tone of voice, which prompted her to share a video on her Instagram account showing her ignoring the negative comments and focusing on positivity.

During the ceremony, which was presented by media personality Aimee Sayah and enlivened by artist Elissa, Bou Chaaya was asked a question about dealing with bullying, which she took as an opportunity to respond in an awareness-raising way.

In the video she published, Sibylle showed clips from the ceremony and examples of the negative comments she received, showing how these comments can affect people and how they can be confronted with strength.

Sybille drew attention with her intelligence and thoughtful answers during the competition, and in her video message she stressed the need to work on self-confidence as a weapon against bullying, and stressed the importance of positivity and ignoring the harm that some comments can carry.
