Libyan authorities continued to deport Egyptians who illegally infiltrated the country to work or migrate to Europe.
The DCIM branch in Benghazi deported 39 illegal Egyptian immigrants from the Ganfouda shelter to the Musaed land crossing in preparation for their deportation to their country.
In a related context, 7 Egyptians were killed in a horrific traffic accident in the Libyan region of Ben Jawad, including 4 from Sohag governorate in southern Egypt.
It is noteworthy that the Libyan authorities decided in the past to deport dozens of Egyptians who had entered the country illegally, and last July thwarted the attempt of hundreds of illegal migrants to travel to Italy through the Libyan coast, including 25 Egyptian children (aged between 11 and 17 years).
