Experts at the Russian scientific and production research complex “AVTOPRIBOR” have come up with the creation of a new power transformer made of amorphous steel that can save up to 70-75% of electrical energy.

This discovery is unique due to the use of an innovative material that combines the properties of metal alloys and glass, which has not been used in industrial production in Russia before.

Thanks to this discovery of the new transformers, electrical energy losses can be reduced by up to three times compared to conventional transformers.

According to the innovators, the new inverter can save about 1.15 kilowatts per operating hour, and accordingly, 10,074 kilowatts per year will be saved.

This invention comes in light of the urgent need for more energy-efficient technologies, as distribution transformers currently lose up to 25-30% of electrical energy in technical losses.

This new technology can be used in hot, humid, and sandy desert areas, where transformers can operate at temperatures between minus 45 degrees to +40 degrees Celsius.
