The North African Football Federation’s head of women’s football development Hafsa Messaaf announced that the North African Refresher Championship for women’s under-20 football clubs will be held in Tunisia, following Morocco’s apology.

5 clubs from 5 countries are participating in the tournament: Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, and Libya.

Hafsa indicated that the refresher tournament will take place from 1 to 10 May 2024, with the participation of a single Egyptian representative, who is the champion of the Egyptian Junior League.

The tournament is organised by the North African Football Confederation (NAMA) as part of the development of women’s football and funded by FIFA and is included in the FiFa Forward programme and series.
