FIFA has awarded Morocco the right to host the next five editions of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup between 2025 and 2029.
Qatar was chosen to host the male edition of the same competition, after FIFA changed the system of the junior World Cup by holding the tournament annually instead of every two years, after expanding the U-17 World Cup to 48 teams.
The change follows global calls for expressions of interest in hosting both competitions, with a focus on leveraging existing football infrastructure in favour of the efficiency and sustainability of the tournament.
