The Moroccan Football Federation issued a clarification regarding the selection of Madrid Stadium for the 2030 FIFA World Cup Final, indicating that the stadium has not yet been determined.

In an official statement published on the Federation’s website, the Joint Nomination Committee revealed the details of its last meeting in the city of Agadir on June 27 and 28, explaining that the meeting discussed several candidate sites to host the events and updates to the nomination file submitted to FIFA.

The committee confirmed that no final decisions have yet been taken regarding the number of stadiums, their geographical distribution, or the number of matches scheduled in each country, and stressed that any official information will be issued exclusively through approved official channels.

The statement stated that Morocco aspires to host the finals in a new stadium in the city of Benslimane, which can accommodate 117,000 spectators, while Spain is working to make the “Santiago Bernabeu” stadium in Madrid the center of the event, after a long history of hosting major sporting events, including the 1982 finals.

It is noteworthy that the 2030 FIFA World Cup, which is scheduled to be organized in cooperation between Morocco, Spain and Portugal; It is the twenty-fourth World Cup organized by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) and is the centenary of the tournament.
