The National Oil Corporation of Libya announced that it has achieved current production rates of 1.25 million barrels of crude oil per day, in addition to 52.8 thousand barrels of condensate and 211.7 thousand barrels of natural gas.

This announcement came in a meeting held by Farhat Bin Qaddara, President of the Foundation, with Abdul Hamid Al-Dbeibeh, Prime Minister of the outgoing Libyan government, in the Prime Minister’s Office in Tripoli.

The meeting, which was attended by Adel Jumaa, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, discussed development plans for the oil and gas sector, emphasizing the strategic goal of increasing production to two million barrels per day by the end of 2025. Bin Qaddara stressed that the increase in production will be gradual, in keeping with the established timetables.

Bin Qaddara also pointed out the importance of international companies returning to work in the Libyan oil sector and participating in development projects, which enhances opportunities for growth and development.

For his part, Al-Dbeibeh stressed the need to unify efforts among various state institutions to achieve these goals and urged support for the Libyan private sector and strengthening partnerships with foreign companies to raise the efficiency of Libyan cadres.
