French Minister Delegate Franck Riester called for strengthening the economic and trade partnership with Morocco during the two-day visit.
During his visit, Riester met with members of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Morocco and the France Export team and discussed with them French projects in Morocco and requests by French companies to establish partnerships with their Moroccan counterparts.
Discussions focused on five main sectors: industry, agricultural technology, technology and services, the art of living, and clean technology.
Riester also participated in a roundtable on economic development opportunities, during which he stressed the need to build an economic and long-term partnership based on a shared vision to meet the challenges of the future.
Riester’s visit comes amid strained French relations between Morocco and Algeria, and Morocco’s appointment of Samira Setayel as her ambassador to France.
