Abderrazak Hamdallah and a fan had an altercation in the stands of the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, where the player splashed water from a plastic bottle on the fan, in response to comments from him.

The situation was exacerbated when the fan used a whip to beat Hamdallah, much to the chagrin of the Moroccan striker, who took the initiative to try to respond to the attack but was prevented thanks to the intervention of some players and officials.

Abu Dhabi police arrested the fan immediately after the incident, and according to the Saudi newspaper “Al-Riyadia”, the Moroccan star gave up his legal right against the fan in front of the authorities.

The newspaper reported that the fan for his part waived any lawsuit against the player, while the public right still exists in the case.

It is noteworthy that Hamdallah scored the only goal of Al-Ittihad in the 21st minute, after receiving a penalty kick as a result of being obstructed by Renan Lodi, where he took the kick and goalkeeper Yassine Bono saved it, but the ball returned to Hamdallah, who put it in the net from a short distance.
